RIPLEY GRAY
 – Ripley Elaine Gray, born February 7, 1983. Familial ties: Eugene Gray (55); Father. Amanda Gray nee Langley (54); Mother. Lotty Gray (28); big sister ( lotty)! Alex Webber (30); husband ( webbr).
– Ripley Gray is not your typical model. In fact, if you'd asked twelve year old Ripley what she'd be doing with the rest of her life she would've said she would be following in Uhura's footsteps. And if you hadn't understood that reference she would've ignored you. But, when she got into high school she sort of faced the realization that she was well pretty. She'd also discover that people liked to do things for you when they thought you were pretty. Especially boys. So she fell into the 'popular girl' role that seemed to lay itself out in front of her rather easily. But, fret not, she still attended Comic Con and worked at the Comic Book store downtown. And yes, she did have a Trekker costume for all of her Halloween needs. With her nerdiness in the closet (for the most part, though the occasional SciFi reference did slip out!) she went on to the normal teenage girl rites of passage like being on the cheerleading squad and being crowned homecoming queen. It was like she was living in her own SciFi movie, if you asked her.
– College was sort of the same way for her. People tended to care more about her pretty face than her political opinions, which would explain why she changed her major from Political Science to Fine Arts after her first semester. It wasn't that she didn't want to be appreciated for her mind, it just seemed easier to go about things the easy way. In fact, being "the pretty girl" is what landed her Bruce Van Zandt, the charming senior whose eye she cought at a TKE frat party her junior year. He was ridiculously rich, good-looking in that overly obvious way, and most importantly, totally smitten. She dated him for the rest of his college career and after he graduated, he popped the question. Ripley was excited, and even though she was still young, she was in love, so of course she'd said yes.
– They'd decided on a long engagement, Ripley needed time to graduate of course, and Bruce had started working for the family company, Van Zandt Reality. The family business sold million dollar homes and yachts and was extremely lucrative. In fact, they owned several estates scattered throughout California and served many a high profile client. So, their two year engagement began. After graduating, Ripley didn't pursue a career, instead she enjoyed the socialite life she was given by her fiance status. The living was easy for Ripley, with vacations abroad every month, shopping sprees, you name it, she had it. It was brilliant. There was only one damper on the whole thing.
– Ripley had been at a fitting for her wedding gown when she'd come home early to the penthouse she and Bruce shared, a little too early for Bruce to hide the fact that he was banging the Van Zandt Realty receptionist, Linda, in the bed he shared with his fiance. Needless to say, she'd stormed out, called off the wedding, and later pawned her ring so she'd be able to afford an apartment.
– It was weird to go from the little bubble that'd been created for her to the real world and her one bedroom apartment that didn't have central air. But she was determined to do it on her own and do it right this time. There wasn't much she could do with a Fine Arts degree that really allowed her to suvive, so her older sister Lotty pulled some strings and got her a receptionist gig at Webmate, the place she worked. While being a receptionist wasn't the glamorous job she'd hoped to get, it made ends meet and she loved the people she worked with, so she couldn't really complain. Besides, for the first time in her life she was responsible for herself, and that had to stand for something right?
– Five months after she'd started working for the company, she auditioned for the Talent department. After all, she'd gotten by on being the pretty girl for quite sometime, hadn't she? Maybe she could make some money off of her pretty face for a change. After taking some test shots and having some of her friends in photography help her build a portfolio, she landed the audition. She likes to credit it to her knowledge of Star Trek and adorable personality for getting it rather than just her looks.
– So, that's where she's at now. Modeling for the website, doing promo work at conventions, and generally having a blast. Life may not have panned out as she thought it would, but she was certainly getting by. The newest development in her life though, had certainly thrown things for a loop. An innocent weekend in Vegas had seemingly gone haywire and she'd ended up married? What was that about? Oh Ripley Gray, what will you do next?
